Description of the procedure

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive method of treating varicose veins and spider veins, which involves injecting a special sclerotizing agent directly into the diseased vein. This agent causes inflammation and obliteration of the walls of the veins, which ultimately leads to their disappearance. The procedure is safe, effective and does not require the use of general anesthesia.

How it's working?

A sclerotizing agent injected into a vein causes an inflammatory reaction in the vessel wall, resulting in its closure. Over time, the vein turns into scar tissue, which is gradually absorbed by the body. This redirects blood flow to healthier veins, improving circulation and the appearance of the skin.

Effects:

• Reduction or complete removal of visible varicose veins and spider veins
• Reduction of symptoms associated with venous insufficiency, such as pain, swelling and heaviness in the legs
• Improving the aesthetic appearance of the skin

Indications:

• Superficial varicose veins and spider veins on the legs
• Mild and moderate cases of venous insufficiency
• The need to aesthetically improve the appearance of the legs

Duration of the treatment

The procedure usually lasts from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the number and extent of the treated veins.
