Description of the procedure

Closing varicose veins with Venaseal tissue glue is a minimally invasive method of treating varicose veins in the lower limbs. This technique uses a special medical adhesive to close the diseased vein, which prevents further blood flow through it and redirects the blood to healthy veins. The Venaseal method eliminates the need for general anesthesia and avoids complications associated with traditional treatment methods, such as stripping.

How it's working?

During the procedure, under ultrasound guidance, a catheter is inserted into the diseased vein through which the glue is applied. After applying the glue, the vein is closed, which leads to its scarring and gradual absorption by the body. This procedure redirects blood to deeper, healthy veins.
